IN THE CLARION-CLIPPERTON FRACTURE ZONE
23 - 30 November 2014

Provisional Agenda | Background Documents | Participants

Following informal consultations between the Secretary-General and exploration contractors for polymetallic nodules in January 2012 on the biological component of environmental baseline data in exploration areas, the International Seabed Authority convened its first taxonomic exchange workshops on the megafauna in the Clarion-Clipperton Fracture Zone (CCFZ) in June 2013.

The second workshop workshop scheduled for November 2014 in South Korea will focus on taxonomic methods and standardization of macrofauna in the CCFZ.
