Award for an outstanding PhD thesis on ophiolites

To commemorate human and scientific contributions of Prof. Pietro Passerini (University of Florence, Italy), the journal Ofioliti - published by the Working Group on Mediterranean Ophiolites (GLOM) - offers an award of EUR 5,000 for the best PhD Thesis on ophiolite topics, financed by the Passerini family. Candidates must submit the application before 30th April 2020 following the instructions reported in the Ofioliti website. We remind that Ofioliti is an open-access international journal ensuring peer-review process, short publication times and small publication fees (EUR 100 for each article). We thus encourage all researchers working on ophiolites and/or on modern oceanic lithosphere to submit the results of their studies to Ofioliti.
