2) [ECORD Training Course 2020] ECORD Training Course 2020 will be held on 20 - 24 April 2020 at the MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences and the IODP Bremen Core Repository (BCR) at the University of Bremen (Germany). The training course is addressed to early career and established scientists from academia and industry from all over the world who have an interest in scientific drilling and development of professional skills in core analysis. 1) [Final report from the workshop of the the WG on Seamounts and Islands associated with MOR]The full text of the final report from the last workshop of the InterRidge Working Group on Seamounts and Islands Associated With Mid-Ocean Ridges (19-21 September 2019) is now available online under this link.

2) [2020 SCOR Visiting Scholars Program] The application period is now open for the 2020 SCOR Visiting Scholars Program. Applications are due by 1 December 2019 and selections will be made by the SCOR Committee on Capacity Building by 1 January 2020. Application forms and instructions can be found here.

3) [Winter School "Ocean Governance for Sustainable Marine Ecosystems" in Bremen] The Winter School "Ocean Governance for Sustainable Marine Ecosystems" will be organized on 16-21 February 2020 by the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) and the International Ocean Institute (IOI) in Bremen (Germany). The aim is to bring together visionary international early-career scientists from various disciplines in the field of marine research and young professionals who want to learn more about “Ocean governance” and discuss frontier questions on future sustainable development. The Winter School will train around 25 international scholar. With a 5 day intensive academic program it will enable young scholars to engage in marine governance issues by providing an scientific basis from different disciplinary perspectives. 4) [International School on Mantle Dynamics – last moment to register] The International School on Mantle Dynamics (MEREMA 2nd Edition) will be held on 30 March – 2 April 2020 in Sestri Levante (Italy). Graduate and PhD students, post-docs and young researchers interested in applying for the School should register by 15 October 2019. The School Organization will be able to support the participation of a limited number of applicants with a contribution of 200 Euros each. InterRidge Info #15/2019 (25th September 2019)

1) [Short report from the workshop of the the WG on Seamounts and Islands associated with MOR] During the three days of the workshop of the Working Group on Seamounts and Islands associated with Mid-Ocean Ridges, held on 19-21 September in the Instituto Hidrográfico in Lisbon (Portugal), the international participants discussed the main scientific and logistic challenges related to research of seamounts and islands. They reshaped the definition of the working group so that it will act as an umbrella for fundamental and applied research on large edifices that formed in the proximity of Mid-Ocean Ridges. The main research questions to be addressed deal with the cycling of energy and materials in these enigmatic environments and the interaction between processes related to solid Earth and those in the hydrosphere, biosphere and atmosphere. The possibilities of a larger networking proposal will be evaluated in the near future in a subsequent workshop to be held in 2020. Read more
2) [Short report from the workshop of the the WG on Seafloor Massive Sulfides Resource along MOR] More than 150 SMS-related international scientists and students participated in this workshop, organized by the Working Group on SMS resource along MOR and held on 19-21 Septemberin Hangzhou (China), and had in-depth discussion with focus on the theme of "hydrothermal ore-forming processes". The participants exchanged ideas in various ways – primary/early career presentations, posters, plenary and break-out brainstorm. The most important outputs of this workshop are: the summary of the known/unknown BIG questions existing in the SMS formation, distribution and preservation; and the collectedideas on how to solve the questions of great significance to guide the subsequent SMS exploration and the related research along MOR. The Working Group has agreed to organize the next Workshop in 2020 to further promote the progress of SMS resource related disciplines. 3) [InterRidge Theoretical Institute 2019] Registration to the Theoretical Institute ‘Hydrothermalism in 4D’ to be held between 18 and 21 November 2019 in Banyuls-sur-Mer (France) has been extended until 6October 2019. Travel support is available for early carrier with experience in the domain, based on a motivation letter, CV and provisional budget sent to the InterRidge Coordinator – the deadline for application is 29 September 2019. Experienced researchers and young scientists are invited to share expertise, challenges and know-how. 4) [HACON expedition to Gakkel Ridge] HACON (Hot Vents in an Ice-Covered Ocean) is the first full-scale multidisciplinary investigation of deep (4000 m) hydrothermal vents under permanent ice cover in the Arctic, investigating the Aurora vent field (82.5°N) in the Gakkel Ridge. The expedition is organized between 19 September and 16 October 2019 on board R/V Kronprins Haakon. Follow the HACON expedition.
5) [International School on Mantle Dynamics – deadline approaching] The International School on Mantle Dynamics (MEREMA 2nd Edition) will be held on 30 March – 2 April 2020 in Sestri Levante (Italy). Graduate and PhD students, post-docs and young researchers interested in applying for the School should register by 15 October 2019. The maximum number of participants is 50. The School Organization will be able to support the participation of a limited number of applicants with a contribution of 200 Euros each. 5) [International Expert Workshop: Towards a standardized approach to Regional Environmental Management Plans in the Area] The workshop will be held on 11-13 November 2019 in Hamburg and will be hosted by Germany (Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety; German Environment Agency) in cooperation with the Netherlands and the Pew Charitable Trusts. The workshop will build on existing experiences with the Clarion-Clipperton Environmental Management Plan and ongoing activities for selected marine regions. InterRidge Info #13/2019 (7th August 2019)

1) [InterRidge Workshop on Seamounts and Islands near Mid-Ocean Ridges: Provisional Schedule] A preliminary schedule for workshop of the Working Group on Seamounts and Islands near to Mid-Ocean Ridges (held on 19-21 September 2019 in Lisbon) has been announced, including keynote speakers. For further details, please see the workshop website and/or contact the organizers.
2) [ISA 25th Session – DeepData] The second part of the 25th annual session of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) was held in Kingston (Jamaica) between 15 and 26 July 2019. This Session included meetings of the Authority Council and Assembly, focused on the draft regulations on exploitation of mineral resources in the Area and on the ISA Strategic Plan, respectively.
Of major importance for the scientific community was the launch of the DeepData database, which will serve as the principle repository of all deep-seabed related data collected in the international seabed area (Area). In its current state, the database contains biological, physical and geochemical parameters of the marine ecosystems from the seafloor to the ocean surface, submitted by ISA’s 29 contractors and covering approximately one per cent of the Area. The database can be accessed at: http://data.isa.org.jm.
Delegates from more than 70 countries commemorated the 25th anniversary of the ISA with a special session on Thursday, 25 July. Dr. Maurício Shimabukuro from the Institute of Oceanography at the University of São Paulo (Brazil) was granted the ISA Secretary-General Award for Excellence in Deep Sea Research.
3) [36th International Geological Congress] The 36th International Geological Congress (IGC) will be held on 2-8 March 2020 in New Delhi (India). This platform provides ample opportunity to the global geoscientific community across the continents and oceans to interact, present and discuss various scientific issues. The Science Program of the 36th IGC comprises of 264 Symposia under 44 Themes. The 36th theme is “Exploration and Mining of Marine Mineral Resources” under which a sub-theme on “Modern Seafloor Hydrothermal Systems and Massive Seafloor Sulphides” is of special relevance to marine goescientific community. 4) [Ofioliti Journal] Ofioliti is an open-access international journal with the main goal of diffusing the knowledge on ophiolites and modern oceanic lithosphere. In 43 years of activity, Ofioliti published original papers dealing with geodynamics, petrology, geochemistry, stratigraphy, tectonics, biostratigraphy, and paleogeography. All papers published in Ofioliti from 1998 are available online, free of charge. Ofioliti's Editorial Committee has been totally renewed and ensures a rigorous peer-review process and a short publication time. To support the journal, a small publication fee is requested to the Authors for each article (100 €). More details here.
5) [International School on Mantle Dynamics – MEREMA 2nd Edition] The National Association of Petrologists (GNP), the Italian Society of Mineralogy and Petrology (SIMP) and the European Mineralogical Union (EMU), announce “International School on Mantle Dynamics – MEREMA 2nd Edition” to be held in Sestri Levante (Genova) along the Ligurian coast (Italy) from 30 March to 2 April 2020. 6) [5th International Serpentine Days Workshop in Italy] The 5th International Serpentine Days Workshop will be held in Sestri Levante (Genova, Italy) on 21-24 September 2020. It aims at gathering scientists interested in the geological, physical and (bio-) chemical processes of serpentinization and the life it sustains, its impact on development of mineral resources, of new energy sources and the environmental and societal impact of serpentine exploration and exploitation. 7) [InterRidge Cruise Bursaries] InterRidge continuously supports Cruise Bursaries to help early career ridge-crest scientists to participate in international mid-ocean ridge research cruises, to encourage new collaborations across the InterRidge member nations, and to develop new research directions. In the past 2,5 years, eight bursaries were awarded to cover travel and subsistence costs required to join the cruise. 2) [InterRidge Student and Postdoctoral Fellowship Program] As every year the InterRidge Student and Postdoctoral Fellowship Program continues to play an important role in the careers of young ocean scientists. There was a high number of proposals submitted this year and we are pleased to award two early-career researchers in this call. The recipients of this year's InterRidge Fellowships are: Jakub Ciążela - a post-doc at Polish Academy of Sciences in Wrocław (Poland) and Guilherme Weber Sampaio de Melo - a graduate student at Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil). 3) [IODP Exp 390 & 393 - South Atlantic Transect] The proponents of an upcoming IODP drilling project encourage you to apply to join the science parties for the IODP South Atlantic Transect Expeditions (Expedition 390, 5 Oct – 5 Dec 2020 and Expedition 393, 6 Apr – 6 June 2021). These joint expeditions comprise a multidisciplinary drilling project that aims to recover complete sedimentary sections and ~200 m of oceanic crust along a crustal age transect at ~31°S across the South Atlantic. This project will revisit a transect first drilled 50 years ago during DSDP Leg 3. Application to sail deadline: 1 August 2019. InterRidge Info #11/2019 (10th July 2019)

1) [InterRidge Theoretical Institute 2019] The InterRidge Theoretical Institute ‘Hydrothermalism in 4D: current challenges and emerging issues’ will be held between 18 and 22 November 2019 in Banyuls-sur-Mer (France). The event will start on Monday morning and end on Friday noon. Like previous Theoretical Institutes, the first 1.5 days will be devoted to a series of lectures, followed by four thematic workshop sessions, each of them being introduced by keynote talks (Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning). A poster session on Wednesday afternoon will offer young scientists the opportunity to present their work. The following 1.5 days will be dedicated to writing sessions in small groups and final synthesis.
Lecturesare targeting young scientists and should be accessible to an audience gathering different disciplinary backgrounds. They will be open to all participants. International experts will present the advancement of knowledge on key themes in relation to methodological and theoretical progresses at the forefront of current research.
Workshop sessions will be successively planned on a series of transversal hot topics. Keynotes will present the state of the art from geoscience and ecology-biology perspectives, with a specific attention to processes driving the spatial and temporal variability and will be complemented by short talks to initiate discussions around emerging themes.

2) [25th Annual Session of the International Seabed Authority] The second part of the 25th annual session of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) will be held in Kingston (Jamaica) between 15 and 26 July 2019. InterRidge, as observer represented by its co-chair Jérôme Dyment, will attend the Council and Assembly sessions, feel free to contact him.The revised draft regulations on the exploitation of mineral resources in the Area are a major point of the programme of work of the ISA Council during the upcoming meeting. 1) [First workshop of the Working Group on MOR Islands and Seamounts - call for abstracts] The first international workshop organized by the InterRidge Working Group on MOR Islands and Seamounts will be held between 19 and 21 September 2019, in Lisbon (Portugal). The workshop aims to identify priority areas for research in all aspects of islands and seamounts located near to ridges, including geological, oceanographic and biological aspects. Participation in the workshop is open to anybody outside the WG and will involve an extended poster session on the first day. More information on how to submit your abstract can be found here.
2) [InterRidge Steering Committee Meeting] The Steering Committee Meeting will take place in Tokyo (Japan) on 13-14 June 2019. The list of items to be discussed at the meeting is now open and you are encouraged to send your suggestions to your National Correspondent and/or the InterRidge Office. We will be grateful for sending us National Updates – short reports ofthe ridge-crest scientific activity in your countries, to be presented at the meeting.
3) [Symbiosis in Aquatic Systems Initiative by the Moore Foundation – deadline approaching] The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation is currently soliciting pre-applications for investigator awards in the context of the Symbiosis in Aquatic Systems Initiative. The goal with the awards is to provide scientists with the resources and flexibility to pursue innovative, risky research that has high potential for significant conceptual and methodological advances in aquatic symbiosis. 4) [Jobs] A dynamic and adaptable Project Manager at the University of Edinburgh is required for a large new international ocean research project with partners across Europe, Brazil, South Africa, Canada and the USA. The iAtlantic Project is a 4-year €10.63M project funded through the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 scheme, with 33 core partners, a wider network of associate partners and an international Advisory Board. The project’s goals are to create an integrated assessment of Atlantic marine ecosystems in space and time. Closing date is 4 June 2019 at 5pm GMT. More details.

InterRidge Info #8/2019 (15th May 2019)

1) [Symbiosis in Aquatic Systems Initiative by the Moore Foundation] The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation is launching a new area of research, the Symbiosis in Aquatic Systems Initiative. Over the next 9 years, the foundation will invest $140 million to support development of new tools, theory and concepts about aquatic symbioses and to bring different research communities together to learn how symbioses involving microorganisms function, evolve and serve critical ecosystem roles in marine and freshwater environments.
The Foundation is currently soliciting pre-applications for investigator awards. Each award will fund research in a single investigator's laboratory. The goal with the awards is to provide scientists with the resources and flexibility to pursue innovative, risky research that has high potential for significant conceptual and methodological advances in aquatic symbiosis. 2) [NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration and Research Funding Opportunity for Ocean Exploration – deadline approaching] The NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration and Research (OER) is soliciting ocean exploration proposals to address knowledge gaps and support growth in the Nation's Blue Economy and/or to contribute to Seabed 2030 goals. 3) [High-Level Action Plan for the International Seabed Authority for the 2019-2023] The Secretary-General of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) has released a first draft of the High-Level Action Plan for the International Seabed Authority for the 2019-2023 period as well as draft Key Performance Indicators for public consultation. The Strategic Plan is the Authority’s highest-level document that will guide its direction and aims for a five-year timespan and follows the request made by its member States at the last session of the Assembly, in August 2017 (ISBA/23/A/13). Written submissions and comments by ISA Member and Observers should be sent not later than 31 May 2019. More details here.

1) [Call for abstracts for the upcoming InterRidge Workshop on Hydrothermal Ore-forming Processes] We have a pleasure to announce the call for abstracts for the upcoming InterRidge Workshop on Hydrothermal Ore-forming Processes, organized by the InterRidge Working Group on Seafloor Massive Sulfides Resource along MOR between 19 and 21 September 2019, in Hangzhou, China. The overall theme of the workshop will be focused on hydrothermal ore-forming processes and the fate of Seafloor Massive Sulfide (SMS) deposits along slow and ultraslow spreading mid-ocean ridge system (MOR). This workshop aims to understand several key scientific questions related to hydrothermal circulation mechanisms and the geological factors that contribute to the formation, distribution and preservation of SMS deposits along different spreading MORs. The InterRidge Working Group (WG) on SMS hopes to capture the known/unknown BIG questions on SMS formation and preservation in the geologic record and identify future ways to address them through this workshop. The organizers will provide partial financial support to several excellent early career scientists (International and Chinese) to help cover their flight fares and accommodations. 2) [Simons Foundation - Postdoctoral Fellowships in Marine Microbial Ecology] The Simons Foundation invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships to support research on fundamental problems in marine microbial ecology. The foundation is particularly interested in applicants with training in different fields who want to apply their experience to understanding the role of microorganisms in shaping ocean processes, and vice versa, as well as applicants with experience in modeling or theory development. The foundation anticipates awarding five fellowships in 2019. The award is for three years, contingent upon satisfactory annual progress reports, and will include an annual stipend of $62,000 and an annual allowance of up to $25,000. 3) [International Seminar on Seabed Mining in Madrid] The #GeoERA #MINDeSEA team is pleased to invite you to the International Seminar on "Seafloor Mineral Depositsforthe GlobalSustainable Development", that will be held in Madrid, Spain on 7 May 2019, on the occasion of the GeoERA-MINDeSEA meeting. 4) [Ocean Sciences Meeting 2020] The Ocean Sciences Meeting (OSM) is the flagship conference for the ocean sciences and the larger ocean-connected community. The next meeting (OSM 2020) will be held on 19-21 February 2020 in San Diego, CA, USA. The deadline for submissions of session and tutorial talk proposals is on 22 May 2019. The submission of abstracts will open on 10 July 2019.

1) [InterRidge Italy] The InterRidge Office has a pleasure to welcome Italy as a Regular Member of InterRidge. We would like to thank the Italian ridge-crest community for their efforts in establishing this new link with our program. Formalities are still in progress and we will be happy to introduce the Italian National Representative soon.
2) [7th International Symposium on Chemosynthesis-Based Ecosystems in 2020 in Brasil] The organizers of the 7th International Symposium on Chemosynthesis-Based Ecosystems (CBE7) in 2020 would like to remind that the CBE7 meeting will take place in Guarujá (Brasil) between 24 and 28 August 2020. Please SAVE THE DATES in your calendars. The selected dates are taking into consideration the traditional CBE-period and other important meetings to be held in 2020. 3) [Proposal of draft exploitation regulations released by ISA Legal and Technical Commission] The Legal and Technical Commission of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) has released an updated proposal of Draft Regulations on Exploitation of Mineral Resources in the Area. ISA has led several rounds of global stakeholder consultation over the last five years to develop the draft exploitation regulations, which will regulate exploitation of deep-sea minerals in a way that supports the commercial recovery of seafloor mineral resources with effective protection for the marine environment. The draft exploitation regulations will be reviewed by the ISA Council at its 25th Session to be held in Kingston (Jamaica) from 15 to 19 July 2019. More information here.
4) [ISA Secretary-General’s Award for Excellence in Deep Sea Research – last moment to send nominations] The Secretary-General’s Award for Excellence in Deep-Sea Research is intended to recognize and encourage the achievements of young researchers from developing countries who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of scientific knowledge of the deep-sea environment or to the development of environmentally sustainable regulatory frameworks. All nominations should be emailed by the 26 April 2019.
5) [Request for review of SCOR working group proposals] Six working group proposals were submitted to the SCOR Secretariat for consideration at the 2019 SCOR Annual Meeting. The SCOR Executive Committee will be very grateful for comments from SCOR National Committees, individuals, and interested organizations to assist in the review of these proposals. This is one of the most important ways in which SCOR’s National Committees and cooperating organizations can provide input to SCOR on scientific priorities. 1) [1st workshop of the IR WG on Seafloor Massive Sulfides Resource along MOR] The 1st international workshop organized by the InterRidge Working Group on Seafloor Massive Sulfides Resource along MOR is going to be held between 19and 21September 2019, in Hangzhou (China). 1) [First iMOVE workshop - short summary] The inaugural workshop of the InterRidge working group iMOVE (integrated Multidisciplinary Observations in Vent Environments) took place on 6-8 February in Bergen (Norway). iMOVE aims to bring together ridge crest observatory operators and scientists to facilitate data and technology transfer and sharing, and develop new research ideas. The workshop assembled 24 people from 6 countries, representing disciplines ranging from geophysics to microbiology, and for the first time, brought together representatives from the three ridge-crest seafloor observatories operated by the EMSO, OOI and ONC networks. 2) [2019 Call for SCOR Working Group Proposals] The Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR) has launched a call for proposals for new Working Groups. InterRidge is affiliated to SCOR and, in the past, InterRidge and SCOR have jointly supported Working Groups on topics of common interest.
Each proposal will be evaluated by national SCOR committees in terms of scientific merit and quality, timeliness, and achievability of the proposed terms of reference. In addition, the review of working group proposals is open worldwide to partner organizations and individuals who would like to provide comments. Decisions about which proposals will be funded will be made at the annual SCOR meeting on 23 – 25September 2019 in Toyama (Japan)and new groups will start in 2020. The number of proposals funded for start in 2020 will depend on recommendations of the SCOR Finance Committee; two new working groups are usually funded each year. Proposals are due by 12:00 PM UCT on 15th April 2019. More information here.
3) [Frontiers Research Topic ‘Vulnerable Marine Ecosystems and Deep-Sea Fisheries’] You are invited to consider joining as a contributing author to the new research topic “Vulnerable Marine Ecosystems and Deep-Sea Fisheries” in Frontiers in Marine Science. 1) [Call for bids to host the next InterRidge Office, 2020-2022] In January 2020 the InterRidge Office is due to rotate under the appointment of a new Chair. All interested Members of InterRidge are invited to submit bids to host the new office and nominations for the new Chair. Bids should be submitted electronically to the InterRidge Coordinator. 2) [Spare berth on SMARTIES Cruise] French research cruise SMARTIES of RV “Pourquoi Pas?” and deep-sea submersible “Nautile” will take place between 12 July and 24 August 2019 on the intersection of the Mid-Atlandtic Ridge axis and the Romanche Transform Fault. Port calls will be on the Cape Verde Islands. The aim is to complete the mapping of the region to recognize the boundaries of a Smooth Seafloor domain and its persistence through time and explore in detail the change in deformation patterns on selected targets already identified from available bathymetric data. Bathymetric, gravimetric and magnetic data will be acquired. Nautile will collect rocks, videos and images to be interpreted onboard. More information here.

4) [Goldschmidt 2019] Javier Gonzalez, Pierre Josso and Irene Zananiri are hosting a session entitled “Critical raw materials based on marine minerals: New frontiers and challenges” at Goldschmidt 2019 in Barcelona on 18-23 August 2019. The abstract submission is now open with a deadline for submission on 29 March 2019 (23:59 CET). You are encouraged to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation, students and early career researcher are especially welcome. InterRidge Info #1/2019 (16th January 2019)

1) [InterRidge Student and Postdoctoral Fellowship Program 2019] The InterRidge Office is pleased to announce the launch of call for Student and Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in 2019. As part of InterRidge’s mission to promote international, collaborative, and interdisciplinary studies of oceanic spreading centers, we invite proposals for InterRidge Student and Postdoctoral Fellowships of up to 5000 US$ each. IR Fellowships are designed to encourage international collaboration on any aspect of ridge-crest science by graduate students or postdoctoral researchers, fostering long-standing partnerships for their future careers. The awards may be used, for instance, for cruise participation or laboratory work by adding an international dimension to the Fellow’s research (in line with the Third Decadal Plan of InterRidge). All application materials are to be submitted electronically to the InterRidge Coordinator by 31st March 2019.
2) [First workshop of the IR WG on Seamounts and Islands] The first workshop of the IR Working Group on Mid-Ocean Ridge Islands and Seamounts will be convened over three days (19 to 21 September 2019) in which participants will be able to exchange thoughts on priorities for research on seamounts and islands near to mid-ocean ridges. It will cover all geological, biology and oceanographic processes. The workshop will be hosted by the Instituto Hidrográfico, Lisbon (Portugal), within the beautiful grounds of a previous convent (Convento Trinas).
3) [25th Annual Session of the International Seabed Authority] The 25th annual session of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) will be held in Kingston (Jamaica) in two parts in late February and July 2019. InterRidge, as observer, will attend the Council session from 25th February to 1st March 2019. Comments on the revised draft regulations on the exploitation of mineral resources in the Area are a major point of the programme of work of the ISA Council during its next meeting. The secretariat has received 42 submissions of comments on the draft regulations and identified several critical areas for discussion by the Council during this first part of the 25th Session. 4) [ISA Contractor Training Programme] The following training opportunities are currently available:
A) Nauru Ocean Resources Inc (NORI) is offering two at-sea on-board placements, for a 4-6 week offshore exploration campaign to candidates (one to a candidate from a developing States and the other to a candidate from Nauru) interested in marine science and in particular physical and chemical oceanography and/or seafloor sampling and/or geotechnical work. Deadline for application: 1st February 2019
B) Ifremer (French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea) is offering one internship in the field of Environmental Studies to candidates from developing States within its 2019 training programme. The internship will take place within the deep-sea ecosystems studies laboratory of Ifremer, in Brest, for a duration of two months, with the objective for the candidate to acquire practical knowledge of deep ocean environmental studies and to develop skills in morphological and molecular taxonomy of Nematoda.
