An international workshop DriMMLOC “Drilling the Mantle, Moho and Lower Oceanic Crust” will be held on 7-9 May 2020 at Tongji University in Shanghai (China). The workshop will present the latest developments across a broad spectrum of earth science disciplines, including tectonics, geophysics, petrology and biogeochemistry to address the main question of how do the styles of formation of the oceanic lithosphere vary with spreading rate and magma supply, and how do these influence hydrothermal alteration and microbial activity. More information about the workshop can be found at: http://www.iodp-china.org/DriMMLOC
