3 Mar 2012 To obtain sonic and temperature logs in the existing deep basement hole at Site U1309, on the young flank of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, and to assess the state of the borehole in order to design a Vertical Seismic Profile (VSP) experiment. The eventual goal is to determine the relationship between measured seismic reflectivity and downhole geologic characteristics in the domal core of Atlantis Massif.
