19-Sep-2009 Collaborative Research: Testing models of magmatic and hydrothermal segmentation: A 3-D seismic tomography experiment at the Endeavour Ridge; Note: Prior to sailing, the project -- the Endeavour Seismic Tomography Experiment -- underwent a thorough environmental assessment by Canadian and U.S. regulators. The timing of the expedition was chosen to minimize marine mammal encounters. During the survey, certified marine mammal observers monitored the region on a 24-hour per-day basis.
