2012 InterRidge/ISA Student and Postdoctoral Fellowships
The InterRidge Office is pleased to announce the launch of the 2012 Student and Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme. As part of InterRidge’s mission to promote international, collaborative, and interdisciplinary studies of oceanic spreading centers, we invite proposals for InterRidge Student and Postdoctoral Fellowships of up to $5000 US each.
InterRidge awarded $45,000 by ISA for Fellowships
InterRidge has been successful in its bid for $45,000 from the ISA Endowment Fund. This will support 3 fellowships annually between 2012-14, for early career scientists from developing countries. InterRidge welcomes this support and looks forward to working in close association with ISA to encourage young scientists in their careers in marine research. SCOR Visiting Scholars programme
The idea of this program is to regularly send ocean scientists interested in short-term visits to developing countries. The program is a partnership, with the host institution providing local accommodation and SCOR finding resources to pay for airfares and other local expenses, as necessary. The participating scientists donate their time.
