Meet InterRidge at AGU 2018, let funding agencies know you need InterRidge!

Jérôme Dyment, one of the two InterRidge co-chairs, is participating to the AGU meeting during the whole week.  If you have ideas to share about how InterRidge - with its limited budget - can better help you, your research, and your community, feel free to contact us at interridge@ipgp.fr or Jérôme in person at the meeting.

At a time funding agencies are having difficulties to contribute to the program, feel free to drop a short message to let us (and eventually them) know how much you need InterRidge!  Your contribution is appreciated.

At this beginning of the year 2018, we wish to all the members of InterRidge community a very happy new year, hoping to see you joining our efforts in the promotion of mid-ocean ridge research.

The InterRidge Office

Dear InterRidge members,

My name is Kamil Szafrański and I am the new coordinator of our program. In close cooperation with the program co-chairs Jérôme Dyment and Nadine Le Bris, I will coordinate the InterRidge activities and I will be your contact person until the IR Office stays in France.

The InterRidge Office is hosted by the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris (see www.ipgp.fr) and is led by two co-chairs Jérôme Dyment (IPGP) and Nadine Le Bris (Université Pierre et Marie Curie - UPMC). The coordinator is Kamil Szafrański.

In January 2016 the InterRidge Office is due to rotate under the appointment of a new Chair. All interested Members of InterRidge are invited to submit bids to host the new office and nominations for the new Chair. On behalf of the InterRidge community, as the current InterRidge Chair and Co-Chair, we thank Bramley Murton, Jon Copley and Debbie Milton from the UK InterRidge Office for their leadership and great service to the InterRidge community during the past three years. Under their leadership the UK InterRidge Office has expanded IR national memberships by adding Canada and Portugal to the Associate Member list and has started new initiatives such as the cruise bursary scheme, which has benefited dozens of young students at the very beginning of their scientific career.
